How I Force the Other Trades to Take Responsibility for Their Work: My PowerPoint Cut Strategy.

In this blog post, I’m diving deep into a method I use to keep accountability on every job site, especially when it comes to installing PowerPoints. Typically, when a Villaboard is installed, the trades just cut a simple circular hole and pull the cable out. But I do things differently. Instead of cutting the Villaboard to the bracket shape like a lot of people do, I leave that circle intact. Then I measure the tiles precisely, cutting them to the exact shape of the PowerPoint bracket itself. By doing this, I ensure that the responsibility is passed back to the other trades. If something is out of place, I don’t fix it—I leave it, so they have to come back and get it right. This approach forces everyone to step up. I’m not covering for anyone else's mistakes. Every trade has to do their job correctly, or the issue comes back to them. By holding the line, I ensure a professional, precise finish, and in the end, all trades have to own their part.
