In this video, I demonstrate how I tile around a strip drain in fast motion in a bathroom, giving you a clear look at my technique and the care I put into every detail. As I work, you’ll see how I notch the adhesive toward the drain, ensuring a consistent slope so water flows directly toward it. I carefully cut each tile and place them, using Lippage spacers at each joint to keep them flush side by side. These spacers are essential, because as the tile adhesive cures and shrinks, the spacers help keep everything perfectly aligned and consistent. While I aim to avoid splits, sometimes they are necessary. In those moments, I carefully place them so the overall slope and flow remain intact. Every step I take is deliberate, ensuring a professional result. This quick demonstration is a glimpse into my tiling process, but each decision is backed by experience and precision. Whether you’re a fellow tiler or simply curious about the craft, I hope this video inspires you and gives you a clear understanding of how to achieve a flawless tile finish around a drain. If you have any questions or want more tips, feel free to ask—enjoy the video!
