In this comprehensive video, I’ll take you step-by-step through the entire process of waterproofing a bathroom with an unenclosed shower. Drawing from my own experiences, I’ll share detailed techniques and insights that I’ve used to achieve a watertight finish. Throughout the video, I’ll cover essential waterproofing methods that are crucial for ensuring that your bathroom remains dry and safe.
In addition to the practical steps, I’ll explain the importance of extending your waterproofing 1.5 meters from the shower rose, which is particularly important for unenclosed showers. Although the standard practice is to apply waterproofing up to 150 mm from the shower screen sideways, I prefer to extend the waterproofing further to 200 mm. This additional measure ensures extra protection against water seepage and helps maintain the integrity of your bathroom structure.
Additionally, I’ll discuss the water outlet from the shower rose, explaining how to properly seal it to prevent leaks. This thorough approach ensures that every part of your shower area is well-protected.
